Categorical Imperative

The categorical imperative is bascially the golden rule, treat others how you want to be treated.  Most people do what is in the best interest for themselves, but not nesessarily would that duty be one that would be put into universal law.  For instance the example with cheating on a test.  People cheat because they want to get a good grade or dodge doing all the work studying.  Most people would say cheating is bad and can not be put into a universal law.  Many of our role models we believe do all the right things or things that they do should  be put into universal law because we think they are right.  I have role models and i do things that they do because i think that they are right so i would put some of what my role models do into universal law.  This is something i belevied to follow because it is right and others should feel that way as well.
